Day one of the Sundance Film Festival, located in the quaint town of Park City, Utah, has kicked off to a slow and steady start: The streets are humbly populated, celebrity sightings are few and far between, and most Internet cafes are unfortunately still in the set-up stage (forcing the unlucky to blog with numb hands outdoors whilst workers assemble the Stella Artois lounge in the same space).
But the hand numbness is a minor complaint. It's truly a beautiful day weather-wise, the Sundance staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a near-two weeks of films, music showcases, interviews (Jack White! The Doors! (Not all the Doors, silly.) Broken Lizard!) and parties to look forward to. Stay tuned for the latest happenings.
